Delete your account

In short: open QuietTrust, go to Settings and tap Delete my account. Everything of yours is deleted from our server straight away, not "within 30 days".

1. In the app

On the phone with QuietTrust:

Open QuietTrust and tap the settings icon at the top.
Tap Delete my account at the bottom.
Confirm. That's it.

2. What is deleted

Straight away, from our server:

your anonymous ID, your token and your phone's push address;
your place in your circle, your sealed profile (name and number) and who gets your alerts;
your alerts with their answers, your answers to others, your location and your votes;
the trusted numbers you added and the invitations you made.

The app's data on your phone is wiped too. Your circle gets a new key, so nothing sent afterwards can be read with the old one. If you were the last person in the circle, the whole circle is deleted. We keep nothing afterwards.

3. If you've lost your phone

We hold no name or email to check who you are, so we need help from your circle:

the simplest way: ask someone in your circle to propose removing your old phone ("Vote to remove"). When more than half of the others agree, it is taken out and everything of it is deleted;
or email us. Tell us the name in your circle and roughly when you joined. We'll ask someone in your circle to confirm in the app, then delete it;
to carry on, install QuietTrust on your new phone and ask your circle for a new invitation.

4. Just leaving a circle

To leave a circle but keep the app, tap the people icon at the top, then Leave the circle. Your alerts, answers, location, votes and trusted numbers in that circle are deleted.
